Housing
There is a problem with the lack of low-cost Housing and Services in Los Angeles. What is John's Plan?
In 2016, Measure H provided $365 Million per year for the next 10 Years to be designated for services and housing for the Homeless. Proposition HHH was passed to raise funds for 10,000 Housing Units in 10 years. Both have failed because of corruption and inadequate accountability. I will find where the waste and corruption is and put a stop to it.
Demand a full investigation of all construction contracts related to Building Affordable housing and eliminate the waste and fraud.
Our Zoning Laws need to be changed to accommodate the building of affordable housing.
In regards to services for the Homeless, there is inadequate pressure to hold these entities accountable for services provided to the homeless. I will make them Accountable by requiring quarterly reports explaining accomplishments and objectives for the following quarter.
Create low-cost Housing for all, with special consideration and availability to Seniors and Veterans.
